Dale Lazar Joins Piper Rudnick's Intellectual Property Group

On April 8, Piper Rudnick LLP announced that noted patent attorney Dale Lazar joined the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group from the northern Virginia office of Pillsbury Winthrop. He is based in Piper Rudnick’s Reston, Virginia office.

Mr. Lazar concentrates his practice on intellectual property problems in a variety of technologies. He has extensive experience in patenting electronic technology, patenting and copyrighting computer hardware and software, litigating patents and copyrights, negotiating and drafting licenses for patents and software and preparing software related agreements. He also has analyzed electronic and computer related patents and copyrights for infringement and validity.

Mr. Lazar also teaches patent law at George Mason University Law School and has written and lectured extensively on patent prosecution and litigation for the Patent Resources Group. He is also known as a lecturer who has addressed groups around the world on U.S. patent law, and as an author of several papers on aspects of intellectual property protection.
